Veterinary Surgical Care Center at Bridgeport Animal Hospital

Our special combination of technology and know-how ensures that the animals we care for undergo only the safest and most effective surgery possible. With this in mind, we begin every surgery consultation with a thorough physical exam—including blood work—to determine whether your companion or farm animal is healthy enough for anesthesia and to undergo surgery at the outset. From here, we will administer any necessary pre-surgery medications and antibiotics and will continue to monitor and care for your animal's condition post-surgery as needed. We also provide walk-in emergency surgical care, keep at least one of our veterinarians on call 24 hours a day to ensure your animal will have access to a vet at any hour, and we can refer to other emergency clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area if necessary.

In the event that we are unable to perform a needed procedure, or if you simply want a second opinion, we will be more than happy to refer your case to one of the many trusted hospitals in our area. At Bridgeport, we understand that surgery can present a difficult time for you and your animal. Allow us to work with you to make sure the process goes as smoothly and is as successful as possible.
